You will probably be aware of the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which comes into force on 25 May 2018. The GDPR is an important piece of legislation that is designed to provide greater protection for individuals within the European Union when their personal data is being processed or stored.
At Harrison Catering Services we have been preparing for the new regulations for a number of months, with the aim of achieving compliance by the introduction date. As part of this project, we are evaluating how we interact with our clients, employees and suppliers in order to further protect the personal data we hold and use.
In addition to updating our policies and procedures relating to personal data, we are also training relevant staff to ensure a full understanding of the changes and how they will impact working practices.
We are aware of our responsibilities regarding the privacy of data and will continue to comply with the latest legislation.
