Korean-Inspired Chicken Burger

Crispy chicken and traditional Korean-inspired flavours make this burger great for BBQS.

Method

  • Step 1

    Prepare the chicken – in a bowl marinate in soy sauce, garlic and ginger, cover and refrigerate for at least two hours or preferably overnight.

  • Step 2

    To cook the chicken - first coat in cornflour and shallow fry over a medium heat, until the chicken is crispy.

  • Step 3

    Transfer to a baking tray and continue to cook in a preheated oven at 170˚C for approximately 10 minutes until cooked through and golden.

  • Step 4

    Once cooked, coat the chicken in the BBQ sauce.

  • Step 5

    To assemble, toast the buns, then on the base bun fill with a slice of tomato, little gem lettuce, sliced chicken, some sliced spring onions, add the bun top and serve.
