Children across the London Borough of Bexley were asked to say 'ciao' to packed lunches earlier this month (15th May) when they were treated to a special Italian school dinner.

The day, full of specially prepared pizzas and pastas, was designed to encourage more children to take up school meals.

Working with caterers Harrison Catering Services, schools in the London Borough of Bexley have held a number of taster days recently, inlcuding a special St George's Day menu.

After the May half term, each Thursday in school will be 'Deli Day' with cold meats and salads. Towards the end of the summer term many schools will be holding indoor BBQ's offering a selection of homemade burgers and salads.
