Harrison awarded Bronze Catering Mark
Wednesday 15 December 2010
Harrison Catering are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Food For Life Bronze Catering Mark from the Soil Association for all of the schools in our Lambeth, Wandsworth and Bexley Local Authority contracts, our contract with the Ealing Schools Catering Consortium and our collection of single-site primary schools across South London. This represents the largest number of sites which have been granted this accolade in a single award from the Soil Association and now represents almost a third of all the schools in London whose catering is Soil Association approved. In the audit summary, the certification officer stated: "Harrison have a committed philosophy to their catering that meets with the principles of the Catering Mark and this is demonstrated by the quality of the food served." Fiona White, Food for Life Partnership London Manager, comments: "Harrison Catering's award is brilliant news for the Catering Mark and wider Food Life Partnership, bringing more good food to schools across London. Harrison Catering is providing almost 40,000 freshly prepared, locally produced and seasonal school meals every day and their methods have clearly influenced the uplift in meal take up, which is great news for them and for children at their schools."
