Merry Christmas from Harrison Catering
Wednesday 23 December 2009
Another year draws to a close and for contract caterers, the busiest time of the year finally comes to an end. This Christmas we have served over 80,000 Christmas lunches, cooking nearly 10 tonnes of turkey and nearly 4 tonnes of potatoes. I expect most of our catering staff will now have to spend the Christmas break cooking more turkey for their families! It's a tough life being a chef...
It has been a very exciting year for Harrison, with some fabulous new contract gains and the retention of some of our most valued clients. So far we have added the Old Palace of John Whitgift Junior school and nursery (in addition to the secondary part of the school where we already catered), the BRIT School in Croydon, The Henrietta Barnett school, Ribston Hall school and St John Plessington school to name but a few. We were also delighted to expand our Carphone Warehouse operation into their stunning new TalkTalk headquarters in Notting Dale Village as well as retaining the catering contracts for Jack Morton Worldwide and Motability.
In addition, we're confident the new year will bring news of more exciting contract gains so watch this space for more updates.
At Christmas time, when food is so central to the celebrations, it's a good time to stop and think about why meal times are so special. All you need is a table of family and friends, well-chosen and well-prepared food, and plenty of good cheer (and maybe a glass or two of wine). We believe that all mealtimes should be simple celebrations of food - again, well-chosen and well-cooked - and great company. For all the clients we've been lucky enough to cook for this year, we thank you and hope you have a fabulous Christmas break; and for those of you who haven't tried the Harrison way, why not make it your New Year's resolution to ask some searching questions of your caterer? Is your food as good as it can be? Do the staff really deliver the service you expect? Are you sure you get what you pay for? If the answer to any of these questions is "I'm not sure..." then give us a call. We'd be delighted to talk to you about what we do, and take you to see how we do it.
Merry Christmas, and a happy New Year.
