Harrison raises some dough

Harrison bread sale

Harrison Catering Services has introduced an innovative new programme offering parents the opportunity to buy freshly baked bread to help school fundraisers. The initiative is going ahead after a successful trial at Kingswood School in Lambeth.

The range of granary, white, potato and other herb and fruit flavoured breads will be available most weeks at the Parents Forum at Kingswood School, a weekly meeting to discuss school and community matters. The sale will help raise money for the school's fundraising group - a small loaf costs £1.25 and a large loaf is £2.50, with 25p of every loaf sold going to the Friends of Kingswood Group. This shows Harrison's commitment to working hand-in-hand with schools to deliver bespoke services and added value.

Gareth Harrison, Director of Group Business for Harrison Catering, comments: "We thought it would be fun to have a regular bread sale at the Parent Forum, not just to showcase what we're doing every day for their children, but also to show our commitment to the partnership with Lambeth by donating money to the Friends of Kingswood Group. We also plan to introduce fresh vegetable selections at the same weekly event as a similar fund raising initiative."
